Just west of The Forbidden City are the Beihai and Houhai lake areas. Saturday night (6/30) we went to Houhai for sunset and to the bar area. A Chinese woman invited herself to join us to practice her English. She connected with Trent and he conversed with her all night. He became her interpreter, too! Sunday night (7/01) we went to an acrobatic show that was very, very good.
